The Kansas Council of Chapters ...
...was chartered on October 19, 1974; at that time only four Chapters comprised the State Council. Today, there are seven Chapters representing over 1,000 MOAA members within the state of Kansas.

- Flint Hills Chapter, Junction City, KS, Chartered March 4, 1967
- Kaw Valley Chapter, Topeka, KS, Chartered April 30, 1971
- Santa Fe Trail Chapter, Leavenworth, KS, Chartered July 18, 1971
- Smoky Hill Chapter, Salina, KS, Chartered July 19, 1977
- Jayhawk Chapter, Lawrence, KS, Chartered October 25, 1990
- Sunflower Chapter, Overland Park, KS, Chartered September 18, 1998

The purpose of the Council is to promote the aims of the Military Officers Association of America; further the legislative and other objectives of the Military Officers Association; protect the rights and interests of retirees and active members of the seven uniformed services of the USA in matters of state as well as federal legislation; and provide assistance to member chapters to enable them to effectively serve their members, communities, and the nation.
The Kansas Council meets quarterly at different locations hosted by the local chapters.
